A report this week out of British Columbia reveals an important breakthrough for those diagnosed with lymphoma.
The B.C. Cancer Agency released a report that can help identify the 15-25 percent of lymphoma patients who will have relapses of the disease.
Why is this important? For one thing, it can help lead to better treatment for those likely to incur a relapse. For another, having a good idea that you won't have a recurrence of lymphoma can be a great relief. Those of us who have been declared free of cancer are grateful for the news but generally live in dread of its return.
