Get ready for some fancy dancing March 20 when the Showcase Gala 2010 is held at the Pasco Eagles Club.
But this won't be an ordinary dance event. With more than a dozen Mid-Columbia dancers, it'll be a chance for spectators to get a taste of a wide range of dance styles, said organizer Beth Trost.
Some of the dance exhibitions include waltz, Viennese waltz, tango, foxtrot, quickstep, samba, cha cha, rumba, Paso doble, jive, mambo, night club, swing and Argentine tango.
The event is open to dance studios and its teachers and students, as well as beginner and advances dancers and the those who just like to watch dancing. All ages are welcome.
There will be open dancing from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The dinner starts at 6:30 with dance exhibitions continuing until 11:30 p.m. Admission is $10 in advance without dinner, or $15 at the door.

Community members are invited to help Hanford High School's Falcon Fever dance team raise awareness about the dangers of drunken driving.
Through Saturday, team members will be selling Dancers Against Drunk Driving T-shirts and bracelets.
All profits will go to the LB3 Foundation, created to honor a University of Nevada-Las Vegas sports dancer killed in 2009 by a drunken driver.
