New York Richie’s to open Friday in Kennewick

A small corner of New York City is opening Friday in Kennewick.

Jesus Escamilla is opening his third New York Richie’s, a restaurant featuring New York-style sandwiches and pizza, at 5011 W. Clearwater Ave.

The decor is very big city cafe with an Italian flare, all black and white with a checked floor, cafe tables and chairs, bold red accents and — of course — a tribute to the Statue of Liberty.

The menu features a variety of New York style pizzas — wide, thin and foldable — 20-inch pies and by the slice.

There’s cold sub sandwiches and hot sandwiches, including Philly cheese steaks, hot meatball wedges and eggplant parmesans. Two pasta dishes — steak and pasta and rigatoni — round out the entrees. Still hungry? There’s cheesecake for dessert.

And fountain drinks, beer and wine are available.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Phone is 783-9400. Escamilla also owns New York Richie’s restaurants in Pendleton and Island City near La Grande.
