Meeting to look at myths of livestock production

WALLA WALLA -- A free presentation on the environmental myths of livestock production will be given by Jude Capper, assistant professor of Dairy Science in the Department of Animal Sciences at Washington State University at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 124 S. Seventh Ave., Walla Walla.

The presentation will address some of the myths that are commonly heard regarding the environmental impact of livestock production including the role of extensive, grass-fed systems and food miles.
