JCPenney shoplifter

Kennewick police and Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers are trying to identify a suspect wanted for shoplifting and assault at the Columbia Center mall.

The suspect stole some clothes from JCPenney on Jan. 9, and as he fled the store he ran into two employees, authorities said. One employee was injured.

The young man then drove away in a gray Jeep Cherokee.

Anyone with information about the suspect can call 586-8477 or visit www.tricitiescrimestoppers.org. Tips can also be sent by text message by writing “Text TIP 411” plus the message to CRIMES (274637).

Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers pays a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in a felony arrest.
