WALLA WALLA -- Walla Walla police have arrested four people after being called out to intervene in a fight between two men, police spokesman Tim Bennett announced Friday.

Larry R. Damm, 22, was arrested in the front yard of a home at 137 Sheridan Road on misdemeanor warrants issued by College Place and Pasco.

Evidence discovered during his arrest resulted in police obtaining a warrant to search the house for drugs, Bennett said in a news release.

The city's emergency services unit was called out, he said, and three people inside the house were arrested after methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were discovered.

"Children's Protective Services were called in to take custody of three small children, ages 8, 5, and 3 due to the living conditions at the residence," Bennett said in the news release.

Michael Lynn Buffalohorn, 36, was arrested on felony warrant from Walla Walla County; James D. Dunleavy, 27, on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia; and Larry G. Damm Sr., 46, on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

A female at the home was taken by ambulance to a Walla Walla hospital because she appeared to be "heavily under the influence of narcotics," Bennett said.
