Kennewick man going to prison for sex crime

By Kristin M. Kraemer, Herald staff writer

A Kennewick man was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison for trying to sexually abuse a teen on a sleepover at his house.

Ricardo Montoya Nungaray, 26, received the prison term for his plea in August to second-degree attempted assault with sexual motivation.

The teen reportedly woke up about 6 a.m. to find Montoya Nungaray touching her, court documents said. The girl told police that she was awake but kept her eyes closed, and that Montoya Nungaray left the room when she rolled over, documents said.

A short time later she called her parents to pick her up.

Montoya Nungaray was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

Woman charged with taking $4,000 from mom

A 30-year-old woman is wanted on allegations she stole her mother's debit card and withdrew more than $4,000.

Amy Michelle Greenwalt failed to appear for her scheduled court hearing. She previously had been out on her personal recognizance, but the judge issued a bail warrant for $5,000.

Greenwalt is charged with first-degree theft. She has not yet entered a plea to the felony charge.

According to court documents, Greenwalt stole the card in August, then used it without her mother's permission. She was captured on surveillance video withdrawing the money from her mother's account, documents said.
