WALLA WALLA -- Jeremiah Cox ran for two touchdowns and passed for two to lead the Irish in their season opener at home against the Lightning.
"Our kids came out with some good intensity," said DeSales coach Pat Graham, whose team reached the state quarterfinals last season.
Cox completed 17 of 25 passes for 216 yards and had nine rushes for 58 yards.
