Columbia Basin Racquet Club will hold a special BODYCOMBAT class at 9:15 a.m. Saturday to raise food for area food banks.
Instead of paying the fee, participants may donate two nonperishable food items.
The 90-minute session is an energetic cardio workout inspired by martial arts. Columbia Basin Racquet Club is at 1776 Terminal Drive in Richland.

Diabetes group will serve pancakes today
American Diabetes Association volunteers will serve pancakes at Columbia Basin Racquet Club, 1776 Terminal Drive, in Richland today to raise money for the organization.
The pancake breakfast is from 9 to 11 a.m., and is part of the club's "Tennis for the health of it" weekend.
The weekend also includes cardio tennis and a fundraiser auction.

KENNEWICK -- As sixth-graders meandered into Ron Schuh's health class at Park Middle School this week, their attention immediately was drawn to a rack of exercise bars.
The students clustered around the rack -- some of them hefting the color-tipped bars to feel their weight -- before being hustled to their seats by Schuh so he could start the class.
The bars, which are free weights in bar form, were part of his "Walk the Talk Wednesday" -- a weekly lesson plan that incorporates some aspect of exercise and fitness into whatever students are learning at the time.

RICHLAND -- A "Funny for Food" comedy show will be from 8:30 to 10 p.m. today at Joker's Comedy Club in Richland.
Cost is three food items, or $5. All proceeds go to the Tri-City Food Bank.
The show features 10 Central Washington comedians, including headliner Adam Kessler.
