Same-sex marriage
Same-sex marriage
Join me in a campaign to remove the right to marry from all Catholics. Don't get me wrong. Some of them are nice. I like them on TV, and my cousin married one, but they are all going to Hades. I know this because as Catholics they believe in transubstantiation, and in my holy book, drinking human blood is no better than murder. Disgusting!
OK, that argument for denying Catholics their civil rights is satire. The argument has no merit whatsoever and yet has no less merit than what is hurled insultingly toward our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender family members. Can you see how ridiculous it is to let lesbians and gays own guns, serve in the military and not let them marry?
It is time to treat everyone the same. Take a step forward, to strengthen families and better our country. Equality is the American way, not bigotry. Proudly support same-sex marriages.

Gay rights rally in Richland shows Tri-Cities as welcoming
Organizers of a gay rights rally in Richland on Saturday named their event "GRR," but their message was far from angry.
Tolerance, equality and shared humanity were the themes of the event, which brought together more than 100 members of the Tri-City lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and straight supporters, known as "allies."
In fact, it was a straight ally who came up with the idea for the rally, which had a second nickname: "Jousting for Justice."
