Fundraiser set Friday for W. Richland woman

By the Herald staff

A spaghetti dinner and auction to raise money for a West Richland woman undergoing a stem cell transplant is set for 6 p.m. Friday at Parish of the Holy Spirit in Kennewick. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Jaime Conrad Picker, 31, was diagnosed this summer with myelodysplastic syndrome, a blood disorder that is rare for people her age. She is being treated by doctors at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and is expected to be in Seattle about four months.

Tickets are $25 each and are available at the Kennewick Bookworm and at the door. Auction items include vacation rentals in Hawaii and Alaska, a holiday decorating package and a golf package.
