KENNEWICK -- A public meeting to discuss proposals to help improve the commercial and residential neighborhoods along Columbia Drive between the cable and blue bridges is set for today at Clover Island Inn.
The proposals came from public comments after a series of neighborhood meetings held as part of developing a strategic plan to revitalize what's called the Bridge to Bridge/River to Railroad area.
Kennewick is working with citizens, the Port of Kennewick and a consultant to come up with a plan acceptable to the community.
An online survey is available for Tri-Citians to help draft the plan.
The meeting is from 6 to 8 p.m. in the fourth-floor conference room.
For more information, contact Ferdouse Oneza, city's planning manager, at 509-585-4463 or go to www.ci.kennewick.wa.us/Community_Planning/BBRRHome.asp.
