Level 3 sex offender living in Kennewick

By Paula Horton, Herald staff writer

KENNEWICK -- A sex offender considered highly likely to reoffend is living in Kennewick.

Curry Leeroy Shows, 52, has told the Benton County Sheriff's Office he will be living in the 36000 block of South Gerards Road.

Shows is 5-foot-6, 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was convicted in 1995 of first-degree sex abuse in Coos Bay, Ore., and failing to register as a sex offender in 2003 and 2004 in Benton County.

Shows, a Level 3 sex offender, is not wanted by police, but is required to tell them where he is living.

Information about Shows and other registered sex offenders in Benton County can be accessed online at www.co.benton.wa.us. Click on the link for sex offender information under the sheriff's office link.

Kennewick police also have a meeting each month to provide details about registered sex offenders and share information about how residents can keep their families safe.

The meetings are at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the police station, 211 W. Sixth Ave., Kennewick.
