PULLMAN -- Faisal Aden has signed to play basketball for Washington State next season.
Coach Ken Bone said the 6-foot-4 guard is a good outside shooter who is averaging about 30 points per game at Hillsborough Community College.
Aden is in his second season at Hillsborough, which is in Tampa, Fla.
Aden originally committed to New Mexico State in 2008, but never played for the Aggies and went instead to the community college.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. Washington State University senior Faisal Aden has been named the Pac-12 Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 16-22, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.
A native of San Diego, Calif., Aden led the Cougars to a 2-0 record on the week as WSU defeated the league-leader twice as first-place Stanford game to town followed by first-place California. He started the week with a career-high 33 points against Stanford Thursday and 24 points against California Saturday. The Cougars were playing at home in Beasley Coliseum for the first time since hosting Western Oregon in Pullman Dec. 18.
In Thursday’s game against Stanford, the 6-foot-4 guard had a big night. On top of his career-high 33 points, Aden added a season second-bets five rebounds in 29 minutes of action. Aden was 10-for-17 from the field and made a career-high 13 free throws, going a perfect 13-for-13 from the line. With his 33 points, Aden became the first Cougar not named Klay Thompson

PULLMAN -- Brock Motum scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Faisal Aden added 18 points, and Washington State rallied to beat Sacramento State 79-68 Thursday night.
Motum gave the Cougars (1-1) their first lead of the night when he hit a put-back with 17:35 to play. The Hornets (2-1) hung around for the next five minutes before getting into foul trouble and allowing Washington State to take control.
The Cougars took the lead for good, 51-49, on an Aden jumper with just over 12 minutes left.

PULLMAN Washington State University men's basketball guard Faisal Aden will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn knee ligament last Thursday in Tucson, Ariz.
He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during in the first half of the game vs. Arizona.
Aden, a 6-foot-4 guard from San Diego, was averaging a team second-best 14.5 points a game (ninth in the Pac-12), while shooting a league-best .894 (42-for-47) from the free throw line.
