KENNEWICK -- Slowly, but surely the pieces to this new Arena Football One league are surfacing.
The league announced last week it has added two teams for the 2010 season. The first is Dallas, originally called Frisco, and will play in Tier 1. No official name was given to the other club, but some have speculated it could be Tampa Bay -- another Tier 1 team.
The league, which now stands at 17 teams, did not say if any more franchises will be added. Also, Kentucky, one of the original members, has reportedly folded.
While the league is silent about its two-tiered model, Tri-Cities Fever general manager Teri Carr repeatedly has confirmed that the league will be split into two tiers.
If that plan holds true and no other teams are added, it looks like there will be 11 teams in Tier 1 and just six in Tier 2. Along with the Fever in Tier 2 would be Tennessee Valley, Arkansas, Central Valley, Bossier-Shreveport and Oklahoma City.
Carr said their will be a 16-game schedule, which should be announced soon. She also confirmed that there will be no affiliations with Tier 1 teams, and teams from Tier 2 will not play teams from Tier 1.

The Tri-Cities Fever has added some talent to its defense for the upcoming 2012 Indoor Football League season.
Defensive lineman Jake Killeen has re-signed with the Fever. The 6-foot-3, 255-pounder had 36 tackles, ranking seventh on the team, in eight regular-season games last year. He also had three tackles-for-loss and one interception. Killeen played in all four playoff games, recording six tackles.
The Fever also signed former Iowa State defensive lineman Bailey Johnson. Johnson (6-3, 280) started eight games for the Cyclones in 2010, recording 20 tackles, five tackles-for-losses and one forced fumble.
