KENNEWICK -- High school students in Kennewick and their families are invited to a financial aid information night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Southridge High School.
Representatives from area colleges and the military will talk with students and parents, and college representatives will explain the Free Application for Student Aid, or FAFSA, process.

BENTON CITY -- The annual college and student aid information night at Kiona-Benton City High School will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

In the next two weeks, communities across the state are helping students apply for financial aid by filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
CBC is the host of College Goal Sunday today at noon in the Thornton Center, 2600 N. 20th Ave., Pasco.

A workshop in Pasco today will train high school counselors about how to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid with their students. It also will provide updates on scholarships available in Washington.
The FAFSA is the first step toward getting any kind of financial aid for college.
The workshop is from 2 to 5 p.m. at the ESD 123 Professional Development Center at 3918 W. Court St.

All incoming freshman, transfer students and graduate students are invited to Washington State University Tri-Cities' Cougar Saturday.
Students can tour the campus, win door prizes and learn about the university from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Faculty and advisers will be available to answer questions about classes, financial aid, scholarships, applications and student life.
The event is in the Consolidated Information Center, 2770 Crimson Way, Richland.
