Richland man hurt in two-car accident

By the Herald staff

RICHLAND -- A Richland man was injured in a two-car accident Saturday morning on Highway 240.

Randall L. Persinger, 51, was eastbound on Highway 240 heading to eastbound Interstate 182 about 10:55 a.m. when his 1996 Nissan Maxima went off the road, overcorrected and hit a 1996 Toyota 4Runner also going east, the Washington State Patrol reported.

The driver of the other vehicle, David M. Bock, 38, of West Richland, was not hurt, the patrol said.

Persinger was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, where he was treated and released. The patrol said it believed alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident and was investigating.
