BELLINGHAM -- The Columbia Basin College women's soccer team is back in the Final Four.
The Hawks, the defending NWAACC champions, went 4-for-4 in a shootout on their way to a 2-1 win over Whatcom on Saturday.
"We couldn't buy a goal in the second half," said CBC coach Matt Mills.
CBC (15-3-1) advances to play Tacoma, which beat Spokane 3-2 in overtime. The Hawks beat Tacoma 3-1 earlier this season.
Julissa Rodriguez tied the game at 1 with her NWAACC-best 28th goal in the 55th minute.

WALLA WALLA -- Marco Acevedo scored on an assist from Mikey Ramos in the 82nd minute to break a scoreless tie and Walla Walla Community College began its title defense with a 1-0 win over Highline.

SPOKANE -- Samuel Villa scored in the 74th minute, Abner Chicas scored in the 78th and Brandon Hale was credited a shutout as Columbia Basin blanked host Spokane in an NWAACC East game.
Walla Walla men 2, Wenatchee Valley 2: Jonathan Rodriguez scored in the 30th minute on a Colten Sullivan assist and Perry McNamar added a solo goal in the 32nd and host Walla Walla was well on its way to a 2-1 win until Wenatchee Valley's Juan Arroyo scored in the 87th minute and the Warriors finished tied against the Knights in an NWAACC East matchup.

TUKWILA -- The Columbia Basin College and Walla Walla Community College women's soccer teams again produced shutout victories against their opponents in NWAACC friendly competitions conducted Thursday at Starfire Sports soccer complex in Tukwila.
Andrea Roeder scored in the 54th minute for CBC in a 1-0 win over Tacoma, and Kaylie Winston scored three goals for WWCC in a 4-0 trouncing of Highline.
Kathryn Knowlton also scored for the Warriors, who opened the friendlies on Wednesday with a 5-0 win over Bellevue.
