A 20-year-old Sunnyside man sought after shots were fired at a car in Sunnyside last week has been caught, authorities said,
Ramon Verduzco was arrested Monday by Sunnyside police and the Yakima County Violent Crimes Task Force, said Charlotte Hinderlider, Sunnyside police spokeswoman.
Verduzco was wanted after two shots were fired at a black BMW on Nov. 4. No one was hit by the bullets, officials said.
The victim told officers he was driving in the area of North Avenue and Victory Way around 8 p.m. when his car was shot.
Investigators zeroed in on Verduzco as a suspect in the shooting. The night of the shooting, they searched several homes in Sunnyside and Moxee looking for him, but didn't track him down until Monday.
Verduzco was booked into the Sunnyside city jail on suspicion of assault with a gun, then transferred to the Yakima County jail.
