A January trial has been set for two Franklin County jailers accused of using connections with inmates to start a marijuana operation.
Kevin Still, 44, and Sonya Symons, 31, both of Pasco, pleaded innocent Monday to federal drug conspiracy charges in U.S. District Court in Yakima.
Still, a 21-year jail veteran, is charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana and attempted possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Symons, who's been a corrections officer for six years, is charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana and distribution of marijuana.
Both remain free from jail pending trial, which was set for Jan. 11.
Symons' brother, Troy Green, 29, of Spokane, also faces the same trial date after being charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana, attempted possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
The charges carry a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The three defendants were arrested Oct. 22 after an investigation by the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force, Drug Enforcement Administration and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

BENTON CITY -- A woman and two men pleaded innocent Thursday to allegations they had a 5-foot-tall marijuana plant growing in their Benton City backyard.
Fabiola Sanchez, 18, Rafael Cervantes Amezcua, 27, and Jose Cervantes-Cisneros, 66, each are charged in Benton County Superior Court with one count of conspiracy to manufacture, deliver or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana.
Cervantes Amezcua and Cervantes-Cisneros also have one charge each for being an alien possessing a firearm.

A search of a home east of Kennewick for two men wanted on warrants ended in the arrest of three suspects on drug charges and a fourth on a warrant, authorities said.
The two men initially sought by Benton County sheriff's deputies were not found at the home at 210605 E. Perkins Road, said Deputy Joe Lusignan.
Deputies, however, did arrest the property owner, Daniel R. Hansford, 50, for possessing stolen property, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possessing meth.

Two Benton City residents were arrested on drug charges by the newly created Benton County Gang Team.
Gang team detectives developed information about alleged drug activity at a home at 56606 N. Frazier Road, and searched the home late Friday with help from Benton County sheriff's deputies, said Deputy Joe Lusignan.
During the search, detectives found methamphetamine, scales and packaging material for distribution, he said.
