HIV/AIDS curriculum preview set in Richland

Parents of fifth-graders in the Richland School District may preview HIV/AIDS prevention and growth and development videos at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Chief Joseph Middle School, 504 Wilson St. Students also may attend.

The video shown to boys will be screened at 6:30 p.m., the HIV/AIDS video and curriculum overview for boys and girls will be at 6:50 p.m., and the video shown to girls will be screened at 7:25 p.m.

State law requires HIV/AIDS instruction in grades fifth through 12th. Parents may excuse their children but first must preview the materials.

Parents should contact their child's school counselor with questions.
