DENVER -- Hawaii running back Leon Wright-Jackson, Fresno State safety Lorne Bell and Fresno State placekicker Kevin Goessling were named the Western Athletic Conference offensive, defensive and special teams players of the week, respectively.
Wright-Jackson, a senior from Pasco, ran for a career-high 167 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries in Hawaii's 49-36 win over Utah State. He scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters.
Wright-Jackson became the first Hawai'i back to rush for more than 100 yards in nearly three years.
The 167 yards were the most by a Warrior since 1993. As a team, Hawaii rushed for 360 yards -- the most in a game since 1995.
