PASCO -- Southridge scored twice in the final 10 minutes to knock off upset-minded Pasco on Tuesday in a CBBN 3A match at Edgar Brown Stadium.
Pasco's Abby Buckenberger scored in the 78th to pull the Bulldogs within 3-2, but Heather Johnson iced the game with a goal in the 80th.
"We played with a lot of fire tonight," Pasco coach Justin Carey said. "It was a matter of an older, better, more experienced team that made plays when they had to. We were in their face all night. I'm really pleased with the development of these girls."

KENNEWICK -- Heather Johnson did a little bit of everything Tuesday for the Southridge girls soccer team.
Johnson scored two goals in regulation, added the game-winner in the shootout and played goalie during the shootout, leading the Suns to a 6-5 shootout win at Hanford in CBBN 3A action.
"It was a wild game," Hanford assistant coach Glen Ledgerwood said. "It was a fun game to watch, though we weren't expecting anything like that.

KENNEWICK -- Both teams were already locked into the 3A state tournament when Kamiakin and Southridge met Saturday for the regional title at Southridge High School.
Even though both teams had little to lose, however, both sides played like their playoff lives depended on it.
In the end, the Suns pulled out a 3-1 shootout win after a 1-1 tie in regulation, giving Southridge its first regional championship. It was a typical Suns-Braves battle, meaning nothing came easy for either team.
