SUNNYSIDE -- Police were searching for a woman who robbed a bank in Sunnyside at gunpoint Friday morning.
The woman walked into Banner Bank on the 900 block of Edison Avenue at 11:30 a.m. wearing black sweatpants, a black sweatshirt, a blue bandana, black gloves and a yellow surgical mask, police said.
She handed a note to a teller demanding money, displayed a firearm and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, 5-foot-5 and between 120 and 130 pounds.
The FBI is assisting Sunnyside police with the investigation. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at 509-836-6200.

PASCO A semi-truck slid on its side across part of Highway 397 in Pasco after the driver lost control while going too fast on a curve, the Washington State Patrol said.
The crash occurred at 10:45 a.m. near James Street. It blocked part of the northbound lanes while troopers investigated.

Two Western Washington men were in court Monday on allegations they placed a device on a Pasco bank's ATM to read debit and credit card numbers.
Mihai Elekes, 34, and Janos Chertes, 40, are accused of using the card reader at the Chase bank on Road 68 on at least six days since July 24.
The men were arrested late Sunday in a sting operation involving Pasco police, Secret Service agents and bank security officials, who had been watching the ATM all day waiting for their return, according to court documents.
