PASCO -- Veterans attending Columbia Basin College will be honored during a ceremony at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Gjerde Center on the CBC campus in Pasco.
CBC has about 300 students who are armed services veterans.
CBC veterans also will receive information about resources available for veterans. Resource tables will be available beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Featured speakers include Skip Novakovich and Bobby Dale from the Columbia Basin Veterans Coalition at noon and CBC President Richard Cummins at 1 p.m.
Refreshments will follow the ceremony.

The seventh annual Prosser 'Thank You Vets' Parade is at 11 a.m. Nov. 11. All are invited to join the parade. Line up begins at 10:15 a.m. near Keene-Riverview School and follows the traditional States Day route.

POWs, MIAs will be honored at Friday event
WALLA WALLA -- A POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony is planned Friday at the parade grounds of the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center in Walla Walla.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the ceremony will include a color guard formed by area veterans organizations. The ceremony will be followed by a reception and opportunity to meet with veterans. The public and veterans are invited to attend.

Veterans Day event set today in Richland
Emeritus at Richland Gardens is sponsoring a Veterans Day event today.
The ceremony includes patriotic songs performed on the accordion by Tom Abrahm and guest speakers Lyle Gilles of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Jan Sass of Support Our Troops.
The event begins at 11 a.m. at 770 W. Gage Blvd., Richland.
