Highlands Middle School in Kennewick hosted its 4th annual school-wide Take a Vet to School Day on Nov. 5. Connie Fow, advisor for the school's National Junior Honor Society, started by bringing in six veterans in 2000 to talk to her students, but the event has grown every year since. Around 70 veterans attended this year.
