Sunnyside police arrested two suspected car prowlers after residents called 911 about a vehicle pulling in and out of driveways in the area, authorities said.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of Vista Avenue about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday and found a 1992 Ford Thunderbird in the area that matched the description of the suspicious vehicle, said Charlotte Hinderlider, the police department's spokeswoman.
The driver, Jeffrey Crane, 41, of Toppenish, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Zillah and for driving with a suspended license, Hinderlider said.
The rear passenger, Sergio Ochoa, 29, of Zillah, also was arrested on a warrant from the Yakima County Sheriff's Office, while the front passenger was questioned and released, she said.
Officers searched Crane's car and found tools commonly used for burglary and car prowling inside, Hinderlider said.
Crane and Ochoa then were booked into the Sunnyside City jail on suspicion of having burglary tools.
