The Army Corps of Engineers will close the Plymouth boat ramp at 6 a.m. Tuesday while it paves the roads and parking lots at the recreation area.
The ramp is expected to re-open by 6 a.m. Nov. 6. The Plymouth boat ramp is available year-round for a $3 daily user fee, although the campground will close at 2 p.m. Monday for the winter season.
Plymouth Park and boat ramp is just west of McNary Lock and Dam and is accessible from Highway 14.

Corps announces cutbacks at recreation areas
WALLA WALLA -- Budget cuts are forcing the Army Corps of Engineers to shorten operating seasons at some recreation areas -- including three in the Tri-City area -- and close or transfer others in the Walla Walla District.
They also are prompting the Corps to call on volunteers to help operate the parks to keep them open.
The changes are necessary because the district is expecting a 9 percent, or $669,000, decrease in its recreation budget in the coming fiscal year, according to a Corps news release issued Friday.

The northbound ramp at Interstate 182 west to Highway 395 in Pasco will be closed Monday.
The closure from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. will allow state Department of Transportation maintenance crews to complete asphalt repair and sealing work.
A detour will be in place. Drivers should expect some traffic delays, according to the state.

Northbound Highway 395 also will be closed Wednesday and Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
