Disney on Ice show at Toyota Center

The Disney on Ice show is at 7 p.m. Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 31, and noon and 4 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

Tickets are from $16 to $45 plus service charges and are available online at www.ticketmaster.com or the Toyota Center box office. Tickets purchased at the box office avoid service fees.

Tri-Stalk music fest

Tri-Stalk music festival, featuring the sounds of Barley, Third Rail and Pigeon Fist high school rock bands, starts at 2:15 p.m. Oct. 31 on the fingernail stage at Howard Amon Park in Richland. Admission is free.

ArtWalk starts Nov. 5

The monthly ArtWalk starts at 5 p.m. Nov. 5 in downtown Kennewick. Participating businesses are Salon Kokopelli, 112 W. Kennewick Ave.; Laura Gable Studio, 17 N. Auburn St.; Kennewick Coffee Co. and Old Roxy Theatre and Antiques, 101 W. Kennewick Ave.; T&L Office Supply, 203 W. Kennewick Ave.; Hoops Body Art, 115 W. Kennewick Ave.; Fantome Glass, 120 W. First Ave.; You & I Framing & Gallery, 214 W. First Ave.; Bloomingdeals, 224 W. Kennewick Ave.

The stores, which features all mediums of art, will be open until 8 p.m. and will have red balloons in front of the establishments. Admission is free.

Urban Contemporary Voices exhibit at CBC

The Urban Contemporary Voices exhibition opens Nov. 2 at the Esvelt Gallery at Columbia Basin College in Pasco.

The artwork is represented by seven urban contemporary artists who are influenced by graffiti street art, pop art and the Surrealist and Neo-Expressionist movements.

The artists are: Zac Boetes, Warren Dykeman, Robert Hardgrave, Charles Krafft, Laura Loverich, Jesse Reno and Marco Zamora.

The work also offers a "fresh, sharp and stimulating visual language that explores socio-economic issues such as globalization and consumerism, but also the individual psyche, Americana and spirituality," gallery reps say.

The artists reception starts at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in the gallery. Earlier that day there will be a live action painting and discussion at 1 p.m. in the gallery, followed by an artist presentation at 6 p.m. in room L-102 on campus. Admission is free to all events. The exhibition continues through Dec. 3.

The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays. Admission is free.

Maryhill fall fest Oct. 31

The Maryhill Museum's Fall Festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Goldendale museum, 35 Maryhill Museum Drive.

Five artists will share their talents with visitors and there will be hands-on kids craft-making for Halloween. Storytelling is from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. with ghostly tales told by Eve Bunting. Costumes are encouraged as there will be a costume contest.

Admission is $7 for adults, $6 senior citizens and kids 17 and younger are free.

Museum closing for winter

The Fort Walla Walla Museum will close for the winter starting Nov. 1.

And end of the season Living History re-enactment will feature a selection of the soldiers, pioneers and Native people who built the Walla Walla community from the days of the fur trade to the middle of the 20th century. The reenactments start at 2 p.m. Oct. 31. There also will be performances by the Oregon Trail Band throughout the day.

Admission is $7 for adults, $6 students and senior citizens and kids age 3-12 are $3. The museum, which will reopen in the spring, is at 755 Myra Road in Walla Walla.

Inland NW chorale to perform 2 concerts

The Inland Northwest Musicians Chorale will perform a concert starting at 7 p.m. Oct. 31 at Waitsburg High School, 221 Willard St.

The group, conducted by R. Lee Friese, performs again at 4 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1401 S.W. Goodwin Place, Pendleton.

Admission is free to both concerts.

Catch 'Across the Hall'

Across the Hall, an independent film, will make its national debut in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles in December, but Tri-City movie buffs can catch an even earlier sneak peek when it shows at the Carmike Theaters in Kennewick from Oct. 30 to Nov. 5.

The movie is an expanded version of a 2005 short film, with the same title, directed by Alex Merkin.

The feature-length noir thriller follows a tense stand-off between a young man who finds out his fiancee has checked into a hotel with another man, which sends him into a fit of near-homicidal fury, the film's producer Evan Ferrante told the Herald.

Cloverfield star Mike Vogel stars opposite Brittany Murphy and Danny Pino in Across the Hall, which was penned by Merkin and Jesse Mittelstadt, both of whom wrote the original short film.

Desperate to hear a friendly voice, the Vogel's character calls his best friend and tells him he's in a hotel room across the hall from where his fiancee is shacked up with another guy who he plans to kill.

Showtimes are 1:30 and 7 p.m. Oct. 30 through Nov. 5. Admission is $5 for the special showings.

Spuds & Suds fest Nov. 6

Spuds and Suds festival is scheduled for Nov. 6 in Dillon Hall at St. Joseph's School, 520 S. Garfield St., Kennewick.

Featured entertainment will be supplied by Thunder River Boys. Admission is $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

The fundraising event features an all-you-can-eat baked potato bar, door prizes and home brew from Ice Harbor Brewing Co.
