Nicole Roberts had 18 kills and six blocks, and Tiffany Idler added 15 kills, six blocks and 14 digs as Columbia (Burbank) outlasted Connell in five sets Saturday in a key SCAC East match.
The Coyotes' 25-15, 21-25, 25-21, 24-26, 15-10 victory tied them with Connell for second place in the division with one match remaining for each team. Should they remain tied at the end of the season, Burbank holds the number-draw tiebreaker.

Kody Easterday had 13 points and nine rebounds, and Marci Hawkins (12 points, nine assists) and Michelle Schultz (11 points, 11 rebounds) also played big roles in helping Connell move to 8-0 in the SCAC East with a 51-37 home victory over Columbia-Burbank.
Brittany Cotsford finished with nine points for Columbia-Burbank, which impressed Connell coach Kameron Jenks.
"They've got five or six scorers, which makes them a lot harder to defend," he said.
