PASCO -- Some ugliness reared its head between the Chiawana and Walla Walla coaching staffs on Friday night at Edgar Brown Stadium.
But in the end, the Riverhawks' 56-24 CBBN 4A victory was a thing of beauty.
Jordan Downing ran for 238 yards and two touchdowns, and quarterback Joey Zamora had his best night so far, completing 9 of 14 passes for 179 yards and four touchdowns to keep fifth-ranked Chiawana undefeated at 4-0 (2-0 in CBBN).

RICHLAND -- Both Chiawana football Steve Graff and Hanford coach Rob Oram were looking for answers Friday night.
After the Riverhawks defeated a tough and determined Hanford team 24-0 at Fran Rish Stadium, both coaches were pleased with some of what they discovered about their teams.
For Graff and his defending Columbia Basin Big Nine 4A champions, the question was how sophomore quarterback Joey Zamora would fare in his first varsity action.

PASCO -- Terro Bell isn't likely to be mistaken for Jordan Downing off the football field.
At 5-feet-7, 140 pounds, Bell is a mere shadow of the power-packed all-state running back, who was lost for the season with a broken fibula last week.
But at the end of Chiawana's 28-0 win over Davis on Friday at Edgar Brown Stadium, Bell's numbers looked eerily similar to the ones routinely posted by the Riverhawks' fallen star.

PASCO -- All Chiawana coach Steve Graff needed was one yard from Miquiyah Zamora.
Zamora gave him that and a lot more, taking a fourth-quarter handoff on fourth down and busting up the middle for a 40-yard touchdown to secure a 27-13 CBBN 4A victory over the Wenatchee Panthers.
The Riverhawks (8-0, 6-0 CBBN 4A) secured their second consecutive league title and set up a crossover playoff matchup against Central Valley on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Edgar Brown Stadium.
