YAKIMA -- Richland finished second overall out of a field of 32 teams on Saturday at the SunDome Invite in Yakima, losing to West Valley 25-20, 25-18 in the championship. Alisha Bettinson had 42 kills, 14 aces and 44 digs.
Meghan McIntyre had 33 kills on the day and Maddie Zinsli dealt out 59 assists to as Kennewick placed 10th overall.
Meanwhile, Southridge placed 13th overall with a 3-2 record on the day and big kill numbers posted by Shelby Warner with 27, Emma Spurlock with 25 and Kenzie Mix with 24

GRESHAM, Ore. -- Brittany Dominguez had 15 kills for Walla Walla and Libby Kern added 10 kills to the attack as the Warriors swept Olympic 25-15, 25-18, 25-11 in the first round of the NWAACC Tournament at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore.
Walla Walla will face Linn-Benton at 12:30 p.m. today.

PASCO -- The Chiawana volleyball team came through when it needed to Tuesday, holding off visiting Wenatchee for a five-set CBBN 4A victory.
The Riverhawks (5-0 league) coughed up a big lead in the fourth set but settled down to pick up the 23-25, 25-19, 27-25, 24-26, 15-13 victory.
"We were up 20-11 in the fourth set, and we let it get away," Chiawana coach Jim Steach said. "We got a little tight and tentative, and they came back and won it. It was back and forth all night. It was a good win."

RICHLAND -- Alisha Bettinson, Lauren Joseph and Deserea Estavillo led the Bombers to a nonleague split with visiting Mead and Mt. Spokane.
Bettinson combined for 25 kills, five aces and 25 digs, while Joseph had 10 kills, six aces and 61 assists, as the Bombers lost to Mead 25-21, 25-15, 16-25, 25-20.
Richland bounced back to knock off Mt. Spokane 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, as Estavillo had a combined 36 digs, two kills and an ace.
