Reggae, rock, ska band to perform at Ray's

Inhale, a reggae, rock, ska and punk band, performs at Ray's Golden Lion starting at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 7.

Ray's is in the Uptown Shopping Center off George Washington Way in Richland. Cost is $8 for minors and $5 for the 21 and older crowd.

Basin swing dance lessons offered Oct. 5

Basic swing dance lessons, taught by guest instructors, begin Oct. 5 at the Kennewick Senior Center, 500 S. Auburn St.

Lessons in swing, line dancing, night club two-step will be offered at 6 and 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Cost is from $18 to $54, depending on the class.

Celebrate fresh hops at Yakima festival

YAKIMA -- seventh annual Fresh Hop Ale Festival is from 6 to 11 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Millennium Arts Plaza in downtown Yakima. Tickets are $30 in advance, or $35 at the gate. This is a 21 and older event. For tickets, call 509-966-0930.

Artist to discuss textile conservation

A workshop taught by Joyce Larson on textile conservation starts at 10 a.m. Oct. 5 at the White Bluffs Center, 4034 D W. Van Giesen St., West Richland.

Larson, from Arizona, is a well-known textile artist who will talk about maintenance, environmental control, cleaning, restoration, conservation, display, storage and insurance of textiles.

Rollin' on River festival set Oct. 3 in Boardman

BOARDMAN -- on the River music festival is from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Oct 3 at Marina Park in Boardman Marina Park, 1 West Marine Drive, Boardman.

Music will be provided by the Badger Mountain Dry Band and Brady Goss. The event is for the 21 and older crowd only. Cost is $15. Food booths also will be available. For more information, call 541-481-3014.

Senior citizen artists planning sale Oct. 9-10

Senior Art Group of Kennewick will hold an art sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 9-10 at Park View Estates, 7820 W. Sixth Ave., Kennewick.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit Operation Smile, a group of medical doctors who donate their time to heal the smiles of children with facial defects.

Stamps, postcards on display at Richland show

The Stamp and Postcard Show is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 10 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2500 Chester Road, Richland. Event is free.

Social dance lessons to be offered in Pasco

Social dance lessons, taught by Patty and Jack Evans, are 7:30-9 p.m. Mondays starting Oct. 5 at the Pasco Eagles Lodge, 2829 W. Sylvester St.

The classes are open to couples and singles. Cost is $20 each.

KGH Foundation's Gala D'Vine is Oct. 10

The KGH Foundation will hold its annual Gala D'Vine starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.

Country songstress to perform in Tri-Cities

Amanda Richards of Portland performs two concerts in the Tri-Cities on Oct. 9-10 at different venues.

The first is from 8 to 10 p.m. Oct. 9 at the AVA Wine Room, 3617 Plaza Way, Suite A, Kennewick, and the second is 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 10 at Ice Harbor Brewing Co., 206 N. Benton St., Kennewick.

Both events are free and open to all ages.

Richards describes herself as a “bohemian country songstress” with an eclectic mix of music.

Musicians to compete at Cavalcade of Bands

The Cavalcade of Bands is from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Lampson Stadium at Kennewick High School.

The event features 24 high school bands that range in size from 40 to 225 student musicians and come from all over the Northwest to compete for trophies.

Admission is $14 at the gate for adults and $9 for students and seniors.

Little River Band among performers at state fair

YAKIMA -- Headlining the main entertainment at the final few days of the Central Washington State Fair this weekend are Curtis Salgado, Little River Band and Laura Flores and Sergio Goyri.

The Salgado concert is at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2 and tickets are $16. The Little River Band plays at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3 and tickets are $21. The Flores and Goyri concert is at 4 p.m. Oct. 4 with tickets at $10.
