Irrigation shutoff dates announced

Irrigation districts in the Mid-Columbia have set dates for shutting off seasonal water.

Columbia Irrigation District, which serves Finley and part of Kennewick, and Kennewick Irrigation District, which delivers pressurized and nonpressurized water to the majority of Kennewick property owners and west toward Benton City, have set Oct. 15 for water shutoff.

Badger Mountain Irrigation District will stop water deliveries Oct. 19 to customers in the Badger Mountain area, including Rancho Reata, Westcliffe and Country Heights.

East Columbia Basin Irrigation District, which serves agriculture properties from Othello north to Moses Lake, will shut off flows beginning Oct. 21.

South Columbia Irrigation District will begin shutting down water Oct. 27 for all areas north of Pasco to Connell except Block 18, which will be cut off Oct. 21.

The Franklin Irrigation District will turn off water for customers in its area near Pasco on Oct. 19.
