Not sure if football gladiators are as superstitious as baseball players, but in the court of public opinion, Seattle Seahawks should consider not wearing their alternate uniforms after their 25-19 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
My first impression was that Seneca Wallace was wearing a "don't hit me I'm the QB" practice bib inspired by Star Trek: The Next Generation collection.
The reader poll launched this week by my friends at FantasyIndex.com shows more than 58% of those responding believe the Seahawks "electric green" gear is the worst alternate uniform in the NFL.
Next worst is the Philadelphia Eagles yellow and light blue (14%).
Meanwhile, Matthew J. Damell's posting to the Yahoo!Sports blog "Shutdown Corner" ranked "The Lime Green" as his favorite.
Do Seahawks fans want to see these again? Are they the NFL equivalent to the University of Nike Ducks?
It's ironic the Ducks pulled off one of the biggest upsets in school history Saturday while donning their throwbacks.
