CONNELL -- Royal junior Ethan Tonnemaker won the 38th annual Connell Invitational by 28 seconds, leading the Knights to the 1A boys team title.
Tonnemaker finished the 5-kilometer course in 16 minutes, 27 seconds.
Chiawana junior Matthew Sturtevant finished third in 16:58.
Riverhawks freshman Hannah Stock took second in the girls race in 20:59, finishing 24 seconds behind Chelan's Gaby Guillen.

SPOKANE VALLEY -- Hanford junior Erin Hegarty finished second to Coeur d'Alene's Kinsey Gomez at the Erik Anderson Invite in Spokane Valley.
Her time of 19:24.8 was a half-minute behind the former Idaho state champion.
The Falcons girls were fourth in the team standings, while Hanford's boys finished third.
