MOSES LAKE -- Courtney Schwiesow won the 200-yard individual medley, took second in the 100 breaststroke and helped Moses Lake claim the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays as the Chiefs were victorious in their pool Tuesday, bringing home the Moses Lake Invitational crown.
Moses Lake totaled 780 points to finish 265 points ahead of second-place Kamiakin.
Othello's Natilee Ruiz and Prosser's Hailey Rankin each notched two state-qualifying times. Ruiz won the 200 free in 1 minute, 56.84 seconds and the 500 free in 5:13.68.

MOSES LAKE -- Breanna Lyons, Katelyn McLaughlin, Megan O'Leary and Rachel Schafer guided Southridge to two relay victories Tuesday night, but Moses Lake had home-pool advantage in a CBBN 4A/3A meet against the Suns, winning 99-87.
Lyons, McLaughlin, O'Leary and Schafer won the 200 medley relay in a state-qualifying time of 1 minute, 57.37 seconds and the 400 free in 3:55.58.
Moses Lake's Courtney Schwiesow again dipped under the state qualifying mark in the 100 breaststroke, winning in 1:10.01.

Tixier, Merrill lead Hanford swimming
Hanford's Stephanie Tixier and Melissa Merrill had two first-place finishes apiece as the Falcons swept Sunnyside and West Valley in a CBBN 3A girls swim meet at Prout Pool in Richland on Tuesday.
Tixier clocked two minutes, 4.43 seconds in the 200 freestyle and 5:36.67 in the 500 freestyle. Merrill clocked 1:02.65 in the 100 butterfly and 1:05.13 in the 100 backstroke.
Sunnyside's Marisa Broersma swam to first-place in the 200 IM (2:24.01) and 100 breaststroke (1:14.23) and West Valley's Robin Sundlee scored 155.85 to place first in diving.
