I took a little trip to the rink today to talk to Bob Tory and Terry Bangen about the rookies who are participating in this year's camp. They seem to like what they see.
I also got a sneak peek at the revamped coaches office where Jim Hiller now resides. If he's missing his big screen TV, he knows where I work.
While in the dressing room, I met new athletic therapist Brian Cheeseman, who was multitasking -- watching golf and working on the computer while doing laundry. It will be one of many loads he and athletic trainer/equipment manager Innes Mackie will do this week and in the months to come.
I think the most exciting part of my journey was spotting the new Zamboni. To think of the nice ice it will make. The maintenance crew told me it was brand new -- it only has 15 hours on it.
