From Herald news services

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The battle for the national high point championship continues this weekend when American Boat Racing Association teams gather on the Ohio River for the 31st annual Thunder on the Ohio unlimited hydroplane race.

A fleet of 11 boats is expected to be in the Evansville pits.

Going into this race, Steve David holds a slight 249-point lead with his Oh Boy! Oberto U-1 team.

But Dave Villwock, driving the U-16 Miss Elam Plus, has won 10 of the last 13 Evansville races.
