SILVERDALE -- Kayleigh Perkins won't have a perfect season after placing second Sunday at the Silverdale Thunder 2009 race for unlimited lights.
But she won't mind as much, as her brother, Brian Perkins, drove the UL-11 Power Punch Performance to victory.
Kayleigh Perkins, a 21-year-old from Black Diamond driving the UL-72 Foster Care/Vitamin Water, had won all five races on the ULHRA tour up to this point.
Brian Perkins also drives the U-48 Miss Albert Lee unlimited hydroplane.

Kennewick High School's marching band marched off the fields in Silverdale on Saturday with a first-place win in the AA division and a best overall award.
The 68-member band also placed first at the Peninsula Classic Marching Band Competition for best visual effects, best percussion, best color guard and best drum major, said Band Director Brent Steinert. Thirteen bands competed.
The Southeastern Washington Cavalcade of Bands marching band competition, which now is in its 30th year, kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Neil F. Lampson stadium at Kennewick High School.

FEDERAL WAY -- The Washington State Golf Association announced Chris Williams of Moscow, Idaho (top men), Erynne Lee of Silverdale (top woman) Andrew Whalen of Ephrata (junior boys), Jordan Ferreira of University Place (junior girls), Tom Brandes of Bellevue (senior men) and Ginny Burkey of Fircrest (senior women) as its top players of 2011.
For Williams, he earned U.S. Open qualifying medalist honors at Gold Mountain Golf Club. His stellar play would lead to his selection to play for the U.S. team at the Palmer Cup where his undefeated record helped the U.S. beat the European team at the Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Conn.
Williams would also win a pair of major amateur championships with back to back victories at the 18th Sahalee Players Championship and the 45th Pacific Coast Amateur in July. He would shoot a 16-under par, 268 to earn medalist honors at the 109th Western Amateur, where he would end up finishing as a quarterfinalist. Veteran drivers Dave Villwock and Steve David each won their second heat races Friday at the Oryx Cup World Championships for unlimited hydroplanes.
Villwock, whose earlier victory clinched the season championship for his team, the U-96 Spirit of Qatar, had no problem starting in lane 2 of heat 2A as he raced uncontested to the win.
Greg Hopp, starting in lane 1 in the U-100, held off Scott Liddycoat in the U-7 Valken.com and Kip Brown in the U-17 Miss Red Dot to finish second.
