The Kennewick Bandits defeated Powell, Wyo., 24-7 in seven innings Saturday in the semifinals of the Pacific Northwest AA American Legion regionals at Oquirrh Park in Kearns, Utah.
The Bandits face Laurel, Mont., a 23-3 winner over Fairbanks, Alaska, at 5 p.m. today, with the winner reaching the championship round.
"Anything we hit, we hit hard all night long," said Kennewick coach Dave Price.
Ty Jackson drove in five runs and Mike McAdie added four RBIs to highlight the offense, while pitchers Julian Rojas and Adam Sanders combined to scatter eight hits.

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The Corvallis Knights won the West Coast League championship Thursday night, beating the Walla Walla Sweets 11-4 at Corvallis' Goss Stadium.
The Knights opened the best-of-3 series Tuesday with a 14-3 peeling of the Sweets at Borleske Stadium.
Oregon State senior Ryan Gorton led the Knights with four RBIs on three hits.

That it came after three previous losses in pool play didn't take away much of the shine.
Dillon Plew threw six innings of two-hit ball and led the offensive charge by going 3-for-3 at the plate with a double as the Kennewick 12-year-olds beat Hudson, N.H., 7-4 at Cal Ripken Sr. Stadium.
