WALLA WALLA -- Wine bloggers from all over the country and Canada will descend on Walla Walla next June for the third annual North American Wine Bloggers' Conference, the Washington Wine Commission announced Friday.
Conferences the past two years have been in California, but the event's organizer, Allan Wright, said the state is one of the country's "premier grape growing and wine making regions," and has an industry that recognizes the important role bloggers now play.
More than 250 bloggers and other media members, as well as representatives of the industry, will gather June 25-27.
The state is the second largest wine producing region in the country, according to the commission. It is home to more than 650 wineries and 33,000 acres of vineyards.
