Being a former Tri-City American has its perks.
Three-year captain Ben Kilgour (2000-2003) got an invite to play in Olie and Stu's Desert Bash this week, and he jumped at the chance to come back to his old stomping grounds.
"I was lucky enough to be invited back this year," said Kilgour, who just finished his career at University of Alberta in Edmonton. "It's such a good cause, and they put on a great tournament. It's easy for us to come in and have fun for a couple of days."
Ben got married May 15 and he and his wife, Megan, will head to Italy this fall where he will play for Milano Rossoblu (Italy Serie A2).
"I figured I could use my degree whenever I want," Kilgour said. "Milan is beautiful. I'm married now, and my wife is looking to Fashion Week (Sept. 23-20). We will go away and have fun for a couple of years."
