City of Kennewick planning barbecue

The city of Kennewick will offer a barbecue from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday for all Kennewick residents. The barbecue will be at Highlands Grange Park, 1600 S. Union St. Free hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided.

The city also will have games and contests for participants. The Tri-City Americans mascot, Winger, McGruff the Crime Dog and Sparky the Fire Dog also will attend.
