BOISE -- The Boise defense picked off Tri-Cities quarterback Colin Drafts five times and Burn quarterback Taylor Tharp threw for six touchdowns and set the team record in passing yards (2,682) as the Burn swept the four-game series with the Fever 63-21 on Saturday night.
Ernie James set the tone early for Boise (12-2), picking off Drafts on the opening drive. The Burn would capitalize on a Tharp to Jomo Wilson 27-yard TD, giving Boise an early 7-0 lead. This would be the start of a career game for Wilson.
Wilson, who had eight catches for 84 yards and three touchdowns, gave Boise a 16-0 lead at the end of the first quarter with an 18-yard touchdown catch.
The Burn outscored the Fever 20-7 in the second quarter.
Following a Finas Rabb touchdown for the Fever (2-12), Casey Allen found the end zone from 14 yards out.
On the ensuing kickoff, Terrance Sanders, who has a league-best seven kickoff return for TD, recovered a loose ball off the net for the score and a 29-7 lead. Marcis Fennell, in for an injured Damian Walker, capped off the first half with his first rushing TD of the year as the Burn took a
36-7 lead into the break.
Rabb finished with 10 catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Drafts completed 21 of 46 passes for just 136 yards. He also ran for a 1-yard touchdown.

Go deep, Kellen.
If Boise State is serious about helping Kellen Moore win the Heisman Trophy, the Broncos need to show off their quarterback's versatility. Throw the passer a pass or two.
It seems to be a trend in college football these days. Or maybe it would be better described as a gimmick, sort of like putting up a website promoting a player.

Boise State back, refreshed after bye
BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State safety George Iloka used his off week to mend some nicks and bruises and take a little bit of time away from the rigorous routine of the college football season.
There was also time devoted to fixing flaws and weaknesses from the season's first seven games.
For Iloka and the rest of the defense, that meant a little extra time in tackling drills during three off-week practices.
