EVERETT -- Quarterback Blake Bledsoe, a recent Central Valley graduate, rushed 13 yards for the go-ahead touchdown with 1:40 to play to lift the East to a 13-12 victory Saturday over the West at the East-West All-Star Football Game for 4A and 3A players.
Bledsoe was named the East team's MVP. He also threw a touchdown pass to Southridge's Clayton Homme, a Idaho signee who caught a game-high six passes for 61 yards.
Hanford linebacker Kody Winsor, headed to Southern Virginia University, had four tackles (three solo) for the East.
Earl Barden Classic
YAKIMA -- Othello running back David Garza scored the game's first touchdown and the East built a 13-0 lead, but the West scored 31 unanswered points to win the 15th annual Earl Barden Classic for 2A, 1A and B players.
Former Royal standout Blair Collins, headed to Central Washington in the fall, caught seven passes for 38 yards for the East.

MOSCOW, Idaho -- Idaho quarterback Brian Reader threw for 299 yards and four touchdowns Saturday as Idaho rebounded from its season-opening loss, defeating North Dakota 44-14.
Mike Scott was the top receiver for the Vandals (1-1) with eight catches for 99 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown pass.
Reader also found Armauni Johnson, Marsel Posey and Michael LaGrone for scores as Idaho rolled up 424 yards of total offense to North Dakota's 197. Idaho's defense also returned two interceptions for touchdowns.

Boise State's Moore named MVC top offensive player
Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore has been named top offensive player in the Mountain West Conference this week for his performance in the Broncos' victory over Fresno State on Friday.
Moore, a Prosser graduate, was 23-of-31 for 254 yards and three touchdowns in Friday's 57-7 rout of the Bulldogs. Moore left the game in the third quarter with the No. 5 Broncos (5-0) in firm control of the game.
For Moore, it's the third time he's won the honor this season.

PULLMAN -- Washington State quarterback Marshall Lobbestael is not ready to get too excited about his team putting up 123 points on its first two opponents.
In beating UNLV 59-7 on Saturday and Idaho State 64-21 a week ago, the Cougars dominated two overmatched opponents.
"The next couple of weeks will pose real tough games for us," said Lobbestael, who threw for career highs of 361 yards and five touchdowns on Saturday.

GRANDVIEW -- Isaac Anderson rushed for three touchdowns and caught another as the Mustangs closed out an undefeated CWAC run at Grandview.
Anderson rushed for 108 yards on 12 carries, while Ryan Fassler threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns.
Prosser has a bye past the CWAC-GNL crossover games and will be the District 5/6/7 No. 2 seed in the state playoffs. The Mustangs will host the winner of Tuesday's East Valley (Yakima) vs. West Valley (Spokane) game.
