Softball roundup: Kennewick, Wa-Hi reach regional semis

YAKIMA -- Amanda Hall hit three doubles and drove in five runs to help Kennewick beat Richland 12-4 in the first round of the 4A regional tournament at Kiwanis Field.

Kylie Rail hit a home run and drove in two runs for the Lions, who will play Moses Lake at 10 a.m. today in the semifinals.

YAKIMA -- Alicia Baker scored the winning run with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to propel Walla Walla past Kamiakin and into the 4A regional semifinals at Kiwanis Field.

Baker singled, stole second and then scored when a sacrifice bunt by Jill McDaniels led to the Braves' third error of the game.
