Wednesday's Tri-City Girls Championships highlighted the depth of the Richland team.
The Bombers fielded two teams in the tournament, with Richland winning the tournament by one stroke over the Richland Gold team, with Southridge a distant third.
Five of the top six golfers wore green and gold, including medalist Mary McDonald, a sophomore who shot an 8-over 80.
The Bombers will send eight golfers to Monday's CBBN 4A district tournament at Moses Lake Country Club -- the five who will make up the team (McDonald, freshman Kristin Strankman, and seniors Alexa David, Kelsey White and Brittany Zier), as well as wild-card entries Gina Ojeda and Madison Hamm (both juniors) and freshman Hope Neidhold.
All eight can be considered contenders for one of the 10 state berths up for grabs. Seven Bombers finished in the top 15 of the 4A point standings, even though only White played in all five pod matches this season, thanks to the intramural competition for the five coveted team spots all spring.
