Softball notebook: 4A district tournament starts today

The 4A district tournament begins today with four first-round games, each beginning at 5 p.m.

Cascade Division champion Walla Walla (18-2) will play host to Pasco (10-10), while defending district champion Richland (9-11) will visit Columbia Division co-champ Southridge (15-5).

Moses Lake (14-6), the Columbia co-champion, will play host to Eastmont (17-3), while Kennewick (15-5) will visit Kamiakin (11-7).

Ki-Be 15-15, Wahluke 0-0

BENTON CITY -- Kiona-Benton needed a total of just six innings to record a doubleheader sweep of winless Wahluke.
