After Friday night, Sara Shelton isn't the only one who can say she scored 1,000 career points for River View.
Kim Gier hit the mark on a 3-pointer with 3:12 remaining in the third quarter and finished with 26 points to lead the Panthers to a 60-44 SCAC East victory over Wahluke.
After a six-point first half, Gier went to the locker room determined to come out in a big way after halftime. She scored 14 points in the third quarter, including the milestone basket that helped her enter the River View record book alongside Shelton (now McMullin), who notched her 1,000th point in 2004.
